Sooooo! I went to the Sarasota Medieval Fair yesterday! :) It was....interesting to say the least. It's was really nice to get to go again with the Metro cast. It was Samma's birthday so a bunch of us got together and went.
Most of the day I was an observer...not the Fringe kind. I'm relatively new to the Fair scene. I've only gone to SMF twice and BARF(Bay Area Renaissance Festival) once. So I learned alot of the unwritten rules...like:
1. Only the beggar can beg for alms. Traveling troubadors cannot.
2. Apparently, it's okay to cosplay to a fair. (definately NOT okay) We saw an Ash and a Misty from Pokemon...REALLY out of place..
3. Once Rasma gets passed 3 drinks...yanno this wass just an observation, I've got nothing to really say about it...but I did get a GREAT picture with my phone. Loves to Rasma <3<3<3

4. Jesters are invicible.
5. The Fair is not just a place for people to get drunk on the weekends(cause we all know that it happens..uhm hello nnumber 3?). It's a place that was fabricated by people who love it and spent a great deal of time and patience and money to make it enjoyable by all, and I've got to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself this year! I plan to enjoy myself again for years to come! I plan to tryout for the cast of the chess match and everything! I was going to tryout this year but ma mere parles non! (yay french) I kind of regret it becuase I could've performed with my brother maybe. Probably not, but it could've happened. You never know.
But then again I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it with my friends if I were on cast. I would've had to do casty things. I do casty things enough for one year. EXCEPT! I plan on auditioning for the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. I want to do Diabolo performances REALLY bad. I haven't had a good diabolo performance since last year at MetroCon 2009. So here's hoping!
