Stressing for the future!

So as you may or may not be aware I'm currently about to enter my senior year of high school next Friday 08/12/10. So spending the last few weeks of my free time I've been going through every inch of the websites of the colleges I wish to attend, apartments in the local area, even buying basic house hold items to stock up over this last year rather than waiting.

I know when school starts I'll be less likely to do these things because of how tiring everything gets to be. But so far I've came to conclusion that I'll be aiming for Ringling College of Arts in Sarasota Fla. Even though Full Sail in Orlando Fla. is probably my best bet as far as long term in concerned. Ringling seems more realistic in terms of getting accepted, location, and finances are concerned.

If you didn't know I'll be going into digital film making. I've been pretty passionate about this field since middle school back when I was simply just filming my friends and editing the videos with a song then placing it onto youtube wow-ing impressing everyone with my self-taught skills. :]

As time passes by I still have to come to a conclusion of apartments vs. dorms. If I manage to get someone to be my roommate in an apartment complex it will be cheaper and more private than a dorm with more options such as being able to cook and shower in privacy. However if I don't find myself a roommate then I'll fall back onto having a dorm for my first year. Unfortunately unlike Ringling, Full Sail offers no on campus housing and the apartments in Orlando are much more expensive. So we'll see about that.

Karlo Stars Youtube Series Planning

So if you have not been in contact with us, we have a YouTube channel that has no content on it. Katie and myself [vic] plans to use our vacation time to get started on 3 basic things that will go on our YouTube.

1) Original Series
2) Personal Vlog
3) Other projects

"100 Miles Of Letters"
Original Web Series

  • Episodes can go up anytime
  • 5-8min runtime limit
  • Will be mostly scripted

Karlo Star Vlog
A Video blog of our life

  • Epsiodes require 1 week between airing

[will finish later]

Everyone has a story. It's how that story is told that makes a difference.

"We Stood Up"
A Fine Frenzy

The song has finally been chosen for the music video. I really like this song because I hope that Katie and myself can tell our stories through it. I want it to symbolize that what ever you go through and whoever goes through it with you, that you can still make it for the better. I want this to tell you that even though it's terrifying, what you may be going through. You can still stand up somehow. It may not be on your own but at least you are trying.

I hope that with this video that both of us will pick what we think represents how we got the strength we have today that keeps us in sight of our futures.
The story may be a happy or a sad one. Maybe even both.
It all depends on where our hearts take us.

Upcoming Projects [As of 11-25-2009]

So we have not really announced this, but once again this Christmas I [Victoria] Shall HOPEFULLY be visiting my lovely Katie again. [Results from last Christmas visit at the bottom]

So because we have only like 14 days out of 365 to actually see each other [Not including the fact that about 5 of those days we are busy with metro to see each other or losing half a day to get TO each other.. Or from. So then that leaves us with about 9 days to hang out with each other out of a year. So divide that by 2 because the nine days do not come all at once. It's usually broken down into two visits. HOWEVER! This visit will be filled with about 5-7 days of just us hanging out with nothing to distract us. So here are the projects I have in mind for us to do.

  1. Photo Shoot. [Katie gets a nice new big Digital Camera?OH SNAP!]
  2. Music Video. [Have we picked a song yet dear???]
  3. Location hunting. [For Moulin Rouge recreation scenes]
  4. How about us doing a web show dear?? We have NOTHING on our Karlo Star youtube. We should totally try and make a show out of our life. :]
And that is all I can think of right now.

SMF

Sooooo! I went to the Sarasota Medieval Fair yesterday! :) It was....interesting to say the least. It's was really nice to get to go again with the Metro cast. It was Samma's birthday so a bunch of us got together and went.

Most of the day I was an observer...not the Fringe kind. I'm relatively new to the Fair scene. I've only gone to SMF twice and BARF(Bay Area Renaissance Festival) once. So I learned alot of the unwritten rules...like:

1. Only the beggar can beg for alms. Traveling troubadors cannot.
2. Apparently, it's okay to cosplay to a fair. (definately NOT okay) We saw an Ash and a Misty from Pokemon...REALLY out of place..
3. Once Rasma gets passed 3 drinks...yanno this wass just an observation, I've got nothing to really say about it...but I did get a GREAT picture with my phone. Loves to Rasma <3<3<3

4. Jesters are invicible.
5. The Fair is not just a place for people to get drunk on the weekends(cause we all know that it happens..uhm hello nnumber 3?). It's a place that was fabricated by people who love it and spent a great deal of time and patience and money to make it enjoyable by all, and I've got to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself this year! I plan to enjoy myself again for years to come! I plan to tryout for the cast of the chess match and everything! I was going to tryout this year but ma mere parles non! (yay french) I kind of regret it becuase I could've performed with my brother maybe. Probably not, but it could've happened. You never know.

But then again I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it with my friends if I were on cast. I would've had to do casty things. I do casty things enough for one year. EXCEPT! I plan on auditioning for the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. I want to do Diabolo performances REALLY bad. I haven't had a good diabolo performance since last year at MetroCon 2009. So here's hoping!

V Dear Totally Knows What She Is Doing....

Yup.. Well okay not really. Hmmm I don't really have anything to say today. I don't have any stories to think of to tell you guys cause it would make no sense. Hmm I may get to see Katie dear this christmas again <3 Mucho fun.

My life is like a book....a Good one!

I've realized alot of things lately.

A: There are alot of things in my life that I can blog about(like being able to blog about alot of stuff in my life)

B: I really do try to live my life like an award winning book. I'm a teenager, I'm here blogging, a friend ran away from home, my mom has a chronic illness, my best friend lives 100 miles away, I'm in love with the sky, my older brother is getting married; yanno, it's REALLY fun being me. Haha.

Either my life is like a book, or that stuff you read in books really is realistic. I guess it kind of makes it easier to live my life because I've read about it many times so I know what to expect.
